Please contact us via phone, text, or email to schedule your complimentary meet and greet. During this visit, I will meet you and your pet(s) and we will review your specific pet care needs. For you to be best prepared for our initial meeting, please know that I will be addressing a couple of specific items.
First, I would like your pet to have ID tags for its collar if your pet will be going outdoors during my visits.
Secondly, if I will be entering your home using a key, please have that ready for me. I will keep it in a secure lock box for future use if you intend to use PetSitz on a recurring basis, or return it to you after the service is completed.

Visits usually last from 20 to 30 minutes. However, we are always willing to be flexible with any of our appointment options. You may want to select more than one appointment option and length of visit according to your specific needs. We will be very happy to work with you to ensure that your pet is well cared for so that you have total peace of mind.

A standard visit is $18.
Transportation to vet or groomer is $40.
A holiday surcharge visit is $10. This applies to Easter, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.

My name is Teri Walkup, and what a WONDERFUL job I have! I am so grateful that my good friend, Pam, asked me to work for PetSitz back in 2007. From the very first job I had caring for two sweet black cats at Christmas, it has been a wild ride!
I bought PetSitz in 2009 and have enjoyed this journey immensely. We (my husband, David, and I and our three daughters) have always loved having pets… dogs, birds, fish, turtles, and even mice. I am a “Grandma ” to four cats, and I always have fun when they come to visit.
For many years, I taught in the public school system in special education before staying home to raise and homeschool our girls. It was when our youngest went off to Hoover Middle School that I bought the business. One of my biggest regrets is that I didn’t start writing down all the wonderful and crazy adventures owning PetSitz has provided me with. It would have been great material for a book!
I am thankful for the love of my furry, finned, and feathered friends and the continued support of their “parents”. This business is not just a job. It is my passion and a true labor of love.
